Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician I performs basic maintenance duties and manual work and provides support in the upkeep of facilities, infrastructure, or equipment across various county departments, such as Parks, Recreation & Facilities and Public Works. This entry-level position is designed to provide hands-on experience in routine maintenance tasks and training in the operation of equipment under the direction of more experienced technicians or supervisors.

This is a union position.
Driving Position - Operating County vehicles and/or equipment is a primary function of this position.

BOARD APPROVED HOLIDAYS (14 days per year)
If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the Friday before will be observed. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be observed. The County Administrator is authorized to change the observation schedule of holidays falling on weekends.
