Description
The Town of Davie has transitioned to a four (4) day work week schedule (10 hours per day). Hours of work are Monday through Thursday from 6:30am-5:00pm.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Participate in various carpentry, pressure cleaning, painting, masonry, and other building maintenance tasks as required.
- Participate in the maintenance and repair of Town roads, trails, sidewalks, park areas and facilities.
- Operates mowers, tractors and various powered equipment, i.e. chain saws, weed eaters, blowers and power pruners.
- Performs grounds and facility maintenance work, such as, mowing, litter removal, weed control, fertilizing, pruning, and planting.
- Transports and moves furniture and equipment.
Minimum Requirements (Must meet by the closing date of the posting unless otherwise stated)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Graduation from an accredited high school or GED;
- One (1) or more years of work experience.
CERTIFICATE AND LICENSE REQUIRED:
Possession of a valid Class "E" Florida drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
Drivers license must not have been suspended within five (5) years of the date of this application (Not Insurance related).
PREFERRED:
- Possession of a valid Class "A" or "B" Commercial Drivers License (CDL) issued by the State of Florida preferred.
Copies of any preferred licenses, certifications or training should be provided with your application by close of posting.
