Job Summary
A leading food manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their facility in Warrendale, PA. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety. This is a contract position with an estimated duration of approximately 6 months (1,040 total hours).
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs on all equipment and machinery per manufacturer recommendations
- Visually inspect, test, and evaluate machinery to identify malfunctions and potential issues
- Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Communicate equipment concerns and repair needs to operations staff and management
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all applicable safety regulations
- Perform facility maintenance and repair tasks as needed
- Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures during all maintenance activities
Required Qualifications
- Experience with preventive maintenance and industrial troubleshooting
- Knowledge of PLCs, servo controls, and industrial automation systems
- Proficiency using electrical testing and measuring instruments
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, and specification sheets
- Mechanical aptitude with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Working knowledge of algebra and trigonometry
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a food manufacturing or production environment
- Familiarity with GMP compliance standards
About the Role
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM until production completion (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)
Location: Warrendale, PA (on-site)
Travel: None required
Contract Duration: Approximately 1,040 total hours
