The Role
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for ensuring the effective upkeep and repair of the Agency's facilities and group homes. This also includes performing electrical work, plumbing, and carpentry. In addition to addressing immediate maintenance needs, the technician is also tasked with maintaining a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to improve the quality, safety, and appearance of all properties.
This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Incumbent must have the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position with reasonable accommodation Except in unique circumstances, employees complete work in-person at their designated job site. Office settings may include direct interaction with students, participants, and team members. Work may be completed inside or outside, under all weather conditions. Work may extend into public school and/or community settings, requiring travel and transport between locations. Incumbent must have valid driver's license, safe driving record, automobile insurance. Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, lift heavy objects, stand, sit for long periods of time and able to perform physically all that is required to complete essential functions of this role, with the ability to lift 100 pounds or more.
