Position Purpose:
Responsible for maintaining electrical distribution for all internal and external equipment. Perform equipment installs, demolitions, and moves. Knowledge of OSHA procedures, industrial electrical standards, and possess excellent problem-solving skills necessary to maintain an orderly work facility.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain and repair all building-related machinery and equipment.
- Install electrical systems and equipment in accordance with city codes and industrial standards.
- Run secondary power distribution lines and circuits used to supply a wide range of voltage, amperage, and phase requirements to distribution panels, power and control circuits, building lighting, HVAC, weld robots, and various manufacturing equipment.
- Must be able to systematically diagnose malfunctioning equipment and correct the problem.
- Coordinates outside maintenance vendor activities.
- Develops and implements preventative maintenance programs on all work centers and equipment using QAD EAM system.
- Train operators to perform basic periodic maintenance where applicable.
- Identifies areas of improvement to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
- Maintain tool crib stock levels. Maintain neat and orderly tool and maintenance cribs.
- Participate as a member of the Safety Committee.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular attendance.
Education and Training
High school diploma or GED required.
Journeyman electrician license required.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of two years mechanical, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting involving welding, fabricating and assembly preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing metal burning and forming equipment preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements of OSHA, EPA, NPPA and NEC.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are necessary.
- Computer literate

- Exposure to extreme heat and extreme cold while in the plant.
