Maintenance Technician II

About the Role:

We're looking for an autonomous industrial Maintenance Technician II to manage mechanical failures, execute component changes, and perform structural fabrications on active material-handling conveyor systems. This position will be responsible for addressing emergency maintenance issues throughout all workstreams of operations (with the goal of achieving scheduled daily production levels), for maintaining on-time completion of assigned PMs (preventive maintenance), along with general WO (work order) requests including repairs, modifications, and fabrication projects. Shift (2 available):

• Back half day shift (Wednesday through Saturday, 0700-1730 / 7am-5:30pm)
• Weekend shift (Friday through Monday, 0700-1730 / 7am-530pm)

* Must be able to cover 1st and 2nd shifts as needed

This position reports to the Maintenance Manager and is based onsite in our Belton, MO fulfillment center.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead On-Site LOTO: Confirm safety isolation points across complex, multi-stage machinery before giving crews permission to work
• Execute Machine Fabrication: Operate shop equipment, including band saws, mills, drill presses, and bench grinders, to adapt or repair parts for active projects
• Troubleshoot System Sortation: Monitor internal system flows to isolate, diagnose, and resolve sorting errors or belt alignment issues
• Enforce Hazmat Safety: Audit material safety logs on the floor and conduct routine safety inspections to maintain clean, compliant workspaces

What We Are Looking For:

• Safety mindset focusing on OSHA and NFPA safety compliance
• Industrial Conveyance and sortation maintenance experience
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis and repairs
• Intermediate efficiency in Office and/or Google suite applications
• Experience utilizing a CMMS and preventative maintenance scheduling
• Note: Requirements include working from heights, including facility roof access ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds

Bonus if You Have:

• AC/DC motor troubleshooting, repair and instillation
• PLC, WCS and WMS systems experience
• Vendor management and parts room experience
