We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to contribute to our mission!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the community, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other building systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair leaking or damaged plumbing fixtures to prevent water damage and restore proper operation.
  • Diagnose and repair basic electrical issues, including outlets, switches, lighting, and wiring as permitted.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Complete resident service requests in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to help extend the life of building systems and equipment.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in an organized and safe way.
  • Participate in routine building inspections and assist with life safety and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Accurately complete work orders, inspection reports, preventative maintenance logs, time records, and other required documentation.
  • Assist with emergency repairs, and after-hours maintenance needs as assigned.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations while maintaining a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • One to two years of building maintenance or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience in residential, healthcare, senior living, apartment, hotel, or commercial maintenance is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Working knowledge of:
    • Plumbing
    • Electrical systems
    • HVAC systems
    • General carpentry
    • Painting and drywall repair
  • Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for completing work orders and documentation.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Be available for emergency call-ins, rotating on-call responsibilities, or after-hours work when required.
