The Maintenance Technician II performs advanced electrical/electronic troubleshooting, VFD and PLC diagnosing, intermediate welding skills, and correcting equipment breakdowns and facility maintenance as required to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. This position also performs mechanical and electrical repairs, and preventative maintenance to ensure the ongoing integrity and reliability of equipment in order to keep the plant operating safely and efficiently.

Shift Differential: $1.00/Per Hour
This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans.

Minimum Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Have at least five (5) years of work experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
Have an industrial, electrical, and/or welding certification or license
Have at least three (3) years of maintenance experience applying electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic concepts.
Have at least one (1) year of formal training and experience in VFD / PLC troubleshooting
Perform PMs, repairs, rebuilds, and modifications on building systems, production equipment, and warehouse equipment
Performs all necessary inspections, adjustments and replacement of parts while performing scheduled PM
Operates shop tools and equipment as skill level will permit
Leads electrical projects and performs electrical repairs
Intermediate welding and fabrication
Assists in training other technicians and collaborate in developing complex solutions to complex machinery failures
VFD and PLC diagnosing
Experience with basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic theory
Ability to read advanced drawings and schematic diagrams
Operates and maintains auxiliary systems such as solvent still, dust collector and thermal oxidizer
Maintains and services a range of building systems such as lighting, compressed air, Nitrogen generation, water and sewer, etc.
Assists in the installation of new plant equipment
Key member of the Fire Response Team
Must be able to work overtime as required, with or without reasonable accommodation
Properly handles hazardous waste as part of manufacturing operations, maintenance, raw material handling, and clean-up activities, in order to protect personnel, property and the environment
Maintains ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 certifications
This position will also be classified as a "Hazardous Waste Handler"
Responsible for the direct handling of hazardous waste generated in their area. This includes assuring that wastes are placed into the proper containers, waste containers are properly labeled, waste containers are kept closed except when adding or removing waste and wastes are stored with labels visible and with adequate space. Responsibilities also include performing emergency response procedures in the event of a hazardous material emergency.
If designated to handle Hazardous Waste 90-day accumulation area, then additional training will be required: DOT HazMat 126F
