Maintenance Technician II

Summary of Position:

The Maintenance Technician II independently repairs and performs complex electrical and mechanical maintenance on various plant equipment, systems, and related machinery panels. The person in this position independently completes work assignments on numerous lines.

Functions of the Position:

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and performs complex electrical and mechanical maintenance on various plant equipment, systems, and related machinery panels independently.
• ??Performs routine preventive maintenance on equipment. Utilizes hand and power tools to facilitate work.
• Works on fabricating necessary parts as needed.
• Assists in other building maintenance or repair activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Education, Experience, and Knowledge:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Five plus years of experience in repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Advanced knowledge of electrical components and wiring.

• Knowledge of electrical trouble shooting up to 480v.

• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Skills and Competencies:

• Advanced mechanical skills.

• Advanced troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work from extended heights.

• Ability to work on elevated platforms.
