Maintenance Technician II

Oaks of Louisiana is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for our newly constructed retirement community consisting of the finest local independent and assisted living facilities.

Under general supervision, this individual will work with our team to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks.

To be considered for this position, the individual must be experienced in apartment-type facility maintenance, be able to work independently and as a part of a team.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, equipment diagnostic testing and repair.

They will inspect and maintain assigned areas, effectively troubleshoot and communicate issues, adjust and repair failures, while ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.

All tasks will be safely performed by adhering to all Federal, State and local guidelines, while achieving the goals and objectives of our health care system.

The required qualifications are to be a high school graduate, have a minimum of three (3) years experience in at least one area of electrical, carpentry, painting, A/C systems, electronics, boiler or mechanical systems.

Computer skills are a plus.

The candidate will be scheduled for full-time hours, but the shift hours may vary.

The individual will be required to attend a hospital-wide orientation, followed by a department-centered orientation, drug screen, and background check.
