Overview:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing support in general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and the upkeep of the entire service center. Responsibilities include maintaining all Facility/ Material Handling Equipment, and ground equipment through preventative maintenance schedules while providing additional support to the maintenance department as required.

Available Schedules:
- Weekend Shift 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM - Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Base rate paid bi-weekly: Starting rate from $23.00 to $31.00 per hour - BASED ON EXPERIENCE. (Level II to Level III Tech)
Shift Differential:
- Weekend Shift - should you meet your full 36.00 scheduled hours, a payout of 40.00 will be honored.

Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (e.g., belt tracking, sensors, chain alignment and tension, gearbox/motor repair or replacement, electrical overloads, blown fuses, solenoids, etc.), and diagnose material handling equipment malfunctions.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair automation and conveyor system issues to ensure optimal system performance.
- Ensure all assigned equipment is fully operational at beginning of shift which includes checking for damage and reporting all damages or malfunctions to supervisor immediately.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and execute scheduled maintenance procedures on industrial equipment.
- Follow proper Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) procedures when servicing equipment.
- Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA requirements, including use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (e.g., safety glasses, arc flash suits, respirators, fall protection).
- Support advanced troubleshooting and repair of complex systems, including:
- Operate and maintain specialized automation systems and related equipment.
- Maintain, test, and service industrial batteries and charging systems.
- Safely operate and maintain lift equipment such as scissor lifts and boom lifts for maintenance access.
- Accurately complete maintenance documentation and records.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance activity.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain racking, shelving, and other warehouse material handling structures as needed.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Maintain regular attendance and work overtime as required to support operational needs.
Qualifications:

- Ability to stand for extended periods during scheduled shifts, which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to lift:
- Ability to kneel, stoop, climb ladders, and work at heights (30–40 feet).
- Ability to safely wear and work in fall protection harness systems.
- Capability to operate hand tools and portable power tools proficiently.
- Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

EXPERIENCE:
- Basic troubleshooting and repair knowledge in:
- Minimum of two (2) years maintenance/mechanical/repair experience OR vocational training in a related field.
- Basic working knowledge of PLCs and computer-based control systems.
- Experience with conveyor systems, automation equipment, or equivalent training (minimum 1 year preferred).
- Understanding of electrical safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, perform basic math, and analyze maintenance data.
- Experience using CMMS systems for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Ability to operate industrial vehicles and maintenance lift equipment.

- Work is performed in an industrial distribution center environment with exposure to:
- Moving mechanical parts and automated machinery
- Electrical systems an postential shock hazards
- Noise, vibration, and temprature variations
- Role requires continuous movement, including standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
