If you enjoy hands-on work, solving maintenance challenges, and helping create a clean, safe, and welcoming community for residents, we encourage you to apply.\n \nAs the maintenance and grounds expert for your community, you will play a vital role in maintaining the quality, safety, and appearance of our residential properties. This position is ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting skills and experience in property maintenance or skilled trades.\n \nLocation: Ann Arbor or Ypsilanti, MI\n \nCompany: McKinley\n \nCompensation: $21\u2013$25/hour + On-Call Bonuses\n \nKey Responsibilities\n\n Complete service requests and work orders to maintain and repair building structures, systems, and grounds.\n \n\n Diagnose and repair maintenance issues in areas including, but not limited to: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall repair, painting, appliance maintenance, carpet cleaning, and exterior structures.\n \n\n Ensure the physical condition of the property meets company standards, safety requirements, and applicable housing laws.\n \n\n Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of the apartment community and grounds.\n \n\n Assist with preparing vacant units for move-in readiness when needed.\n \n\n Respond to maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.\n \n\n Participate in the on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and snow removal as required.\n \n\n \nQualifications\n\n Experience in maintenance, groundskeeping, or related skilled trades.\n \n\n Working knowledge of one or more technical areas including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, or drywall.\n \n\n EPA Universal Certification preferred, but not required.\n \n\n Previous residential or apartment maintenance experience is highly desired.\n \n\n Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs efficiently.\n \n\n* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.\n \n\n \nWhy Join McKinley?\n \nAt McKinley, we are committed to creating a supportive work environment where employees can grow their skills and contribute to thriving residential communities.
