Maintenance Technician III – Industrial Maintenance (3rd Shift)
Location: Cincinnati, OHJob Type: Full-Time, Direct HireShift: 3rd Shift | Monday–Friday, 6:45 PM–10:45 AM Overtime: Saturdays as needed; Saturday hours are paid as overtime
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician III to join a manufacturing operation in Cincinnati, OH. This is a hands-on industrial maintenance position responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues. This position also provides technical guidance and mentorship to Maintenance Technician I and II team members.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical manufacturing equipment
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment
Troubleshoot electrical circuits, controls, and industrial equipment
Diagnose equipment issues using electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
Interpret ladder logic for troubleshooting purposes
Troubleshoot and work with sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, and other electrical components
Install, test, modify, and upgrade manufacturing equipment and machinery
Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance emergencies
Perform equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance issues before failures occur
Assist with equipment installations, machinery upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, aerial lifts, and other maintenance equipment
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Maintenance Technician I and II employees
Support efforts to improve equipment reliability, safety, and production efficiency
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area
Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance best practices
Qualifications
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
Strong electrical troubleshooting experience
Experience maintaining and repairing manufacturing or production equipment
Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits and industrial equipment
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings
Experience with preventive maintenance programs
Experience with PLC systems and industrial controls
Ability to interpret ladder logic for troubleshooting
Experience with sensors, relays, contactors, and VFDs
Welding and fabrication experience preferred
Experience with automation or automated manufacturing equipment is a plus
Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance issues
Strong communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced maintenance technicians
High school diploma or GED required
Technical school, vocational training, or maintenance-related certification is a plus
Ability to pass a Ramsey mechanical aptitude assessment
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work around machinery for extended periods
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally handle heavier materials with assistance
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with machinery, noise, varying temperatures, and elevated work areas
Ability to operate forklifts, aerial lifts, and other maintenance equipment as needed
