    POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician III position provides advanced maintenance support for equipment and the facility.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Able to complete all expected duties within the Maintenance Tech II position.
    • Equipment installation, equipment troubleshooting, equipment repair, parts checkout, parts ordering, and use of manufacturing tech support.
    • Maintenance activities including but not limited to:

    oElectrical & plumbing installation and repair

    oHydraulic system troubleshooting

    oPneumatic system troubleshooting

    oEquipment moves

    oPLC troubleshooting

    oWelding & cutting

    oBasic building repair and construction

    oCommunication cable installation

    oBloodborne pathogen cleanup

    • Perform regular preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to eliminate down time and ensure production goals.
    • Record all maintenance activities in the CMMS system.
    • Follow established equipment Lockout/Tagout procedures as required without fail.
    • Keep a clean work area, machines/equipment and sustain 6S principles.
    • Adhere to and comply with all written GMP/Safety policies and procedures.
    • All other duties as assigned.
    • All job functions to be completed in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, company guidelines and policies.

    REPORTS TO: Maintenance & Facilities Manager

    REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION LEVEL:

    • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
    • Journeyman license, work experience or equivalent technical training in a related field.

    WORK EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of four years continuous maintenance experience preferred.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

    • Ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse groups across multiple levels in the organization
    • Intermediate mechanical ability
    • Intermediate ability in all aspects of facility and equipment maintenance.

    oHydraulic troubleshooting

    oRepair of electrical and plumbing systems.

    oPLC operations & programming preferred

    oElectrical & hydraulic schematics

    oEquipment Rigging

    oRobotics/Automation

    oIndustrial Air Compressors

    • Ability to work at heights and to periodically work outside under all weather conditions.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a powered industrial vehicle license.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a 1st aid and CPR certification.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequent to constant standing, walking and stepping up and down, frequent lifting and carrying up to 25lbs, occasionally lifting up to 75lbs, frequently squat, bend, twist, reach and kneel, frequent or repetitive hand functions, frequently climbing of stairs and ladders, and able to work in awkward or tight spaces occasionally.
