ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a highly skilled, self-motivated Maintenance Technician with a strong background in electrical systems, PLCs, and/or robotics.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs preventative maintenance
• Identifies and troubleshoots problems in equipment and machinery
• Maintains and repairs engines, motors, electrical, pneumatic, tools, conveyor systems, all types of pumps, blowers, fans, valve assemblies, vacuum systems and hydraulics, mechanical systems and their components
• Work overtime as required.
• Work weekends and holidays as required.
• May install, repair or rebuild new and/or existing equipment under supervision by higher-level mechanic(s)
• May be required to use some knowledge of electronics
• May use welding and fabrication skills to fabricate various large and small mechanical weldments
• Writes work-orders, reports and correspondence as needed
• May be required to attend educational programs to build knowledge and skills levels
• Must be able to operate robot and robotic spray equipment
• Provide continuous improvement ideas and suggestions

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong electrical and PLC maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair knowledge.
• 5+ years of relevant industrial experience and/or equivalent education or technical training in electrical systems, automation, or robotics.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment failures independently and identify root causes.
• Strong understanding of industrial maintenance and safe electrical troubleshooting practices.
• Self-starter who can identify problems and improvement opportunities without needing constant direction.
• Takes ownership of equipment reliability and follows problems through to completion.
• Maintains a continuous-improvement mindset and actively looks for ways to improve equipment, processes, reliability, and the workplace.
• Works effectively with maintenance, production, engineering, and other departments to resolve equipment issues.
• Willing to share knowledge and help develop the technical capabilities of the maintenance team.
