Behind every service we provide is a dedicated team of employees committed to supporting children, youth, and families. As a Maintenance Technician, your work helps ensure our facilities are safe, functional, well-maintained, and ready to support the people we serve. Every repair completed, maintenance task addressed, and facility kept in working order contributes to a positive environment for our employees, children, youth, and families.

At FosterAdopt Connect, we're building something bigger than ourselves. Every day, our team works alongside children, youth, and families navigating the challenges of the child welfare system. For more than 25 years, we've been leading innovative, family-centered solutions across Kansas and Missouri, helping create brighter futures for children and stronger communities. We believe meaningful work should also be inspiring work. That's why we've built a culture that is collaborative, supportive, diverse, and mission-driven. Here, your expertise is valued, your professional growth is encouraged, and your contributions have a direct impact on our ability to fulfill our mission.

If you're looking for a career where your hands-on skills help create safe and supportive environments for people making a difference every day, we'd love to meet you.

    Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in supporting FosterAdopt Connect's facilities by ensuring buildings, grounds, equipment, and systems are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance while responding to facility needs in a timely and professional manner.

Working closely with staff, leadership, vendors, and other members of the Facilities team, the Maintenance Technician helps identify and resolve maintenance issues before they become larger problems. Responsibilities may include basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC-related tasks, furniture and equipment repairs, grounds maintenance, and general building upkeep. The Maintenance Technician also helps maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment by conducting regular facility inspections, documenting completed work, coordinating with outside contractors when needed, and ensuring maintenance concerns are communicated appropriately. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to prioritize multiple requests.

Although much of this work happens behind the scenes, its impact is felt every day. Your work helps ensure our employees have safe and functional spaces in which to serve children, youth, and families, allowing our teams to remain focused on our mission.

This isn't just a maintenance position—it's an opportunity to use your skills to support the people who make life-changing work possible.
