JOB TITLE: Maintenance TechnicianREPORTS TO: Director of MaintenanceDEPARTMENT: MaintenanceFLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Technician to ensure the optimal functioning of all water park attractions, pools, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with proven expertise in aquatic facility maintenance, water chemistry management, and team supervision. This role is critical to our daily operations and requires a dedicated professional who prioritizes safety and efficiency.  Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Technical Operations: · Perform routine and preventative maintenance on water park equipment, including pumps, filters, chemical feeders, slides, and plumbing systems.· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in a timely manner.· Conduct daily inspections of all aquatic facilities to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.· Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status. Water Chemistry & Quality Management: · Manage and maintain proper water chemistry balance for all pools and water features, ensuring compliance with local health department regulations.· Test water quality frequently and adjust chemical levels as necessary.· Oversee the safe handling, storage, and application of all pool chemicals.· Maintain accurate chemical logs and documentation. Team Leadership & Management: · Lead, schedule, and supervise the maintenance team, including assigning daily tasks and projects.· Train new and existing team members on safety protocols, maintenance procedures, and water chemistry best practices.· Foster a positive, safe, and collaborative team environment. Safety & Compliance: · Ensure a safe environment for guests and staff by adhering to all OSHA, health department, and company safety guidelines.· Lead by example in promoting a culture of safety first.· Respond promptly and effectively to maintenance emergencies. Qualifications & Requirements · Required:· Minimum of 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an aquatic environment (water park, large public pool, or aquatic center).· Proven experience (1+ years) in a leadership or supervisory role, with responsibility for managing a team.· In-depth knowledge of water park mechanical systems (pumps, filters, controllers) and water chemistry principles.· Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule.· Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and preventative maintenance skills.· Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, working in various weather conditions, and navigating tight spaces.· Preferred:· CPO (Certified Pool Operator) or AFO (Aquatic Facility Operator) certification is strongly preferred.· Experience with HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems is a plus.· Excellent communication and interpersonal NDM Hospitality is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
