Maintenance Technician
Job Summary We are a dynamic lifestyle resort seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will help ensure that all resort facilities remain safe, functional, and visually appealing for our guests and team members. The ideal candidate is a reliable team player with strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on maintenance experience, and attention to detail in both repairs and finishing work such as painting and surface preparation.
This position plays an important role in maintaining the overall appearance, safety, and operational efficiency of the resort through preventative maintenance, timely repairs, and high-quality painting work.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
Conduct interior and exterior painting, surface preparation, patching, and finishing to maintain the resort’s appearance and standards.
Inspect facilities regularly for damage or maintenance issues involving walls, ceilings, doors, windows, and flooring.
Complete minor carpentry, drywall repair, and painting touch-ups as needed.
Maintain preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently and safely.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment service schedules.
Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and building regulations.
Assist with general upkeep of the resort grounds and facilities as needed.
Support additional maintenance projects and property improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
1–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in hospitality, resort, or property management environments.
Demonstrated painting experience including prep work, patching, priming, and finishing.
Working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and electrical components.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to respond to maintenance needs during evenings, weekends, or emergencies when required.
