Maintenance Technician

We are looking to hire a Full-Time Maintenance Technician.

In this role you would be responsible for the operation, routine servicing, and care of a wide variety of specialized equipment.

Provides safe and efficient execution of work as scheduled, providing problem analysis for equipment history, and appropriate action in response to emergencies.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC units.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address any maintenance issues.
• Help in maintaining the grounds and outdoor areas, including snow removal and landscaping tasks.
• Monitor and replenish maintenance supplies and equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with the maintenance director to ensure the overall upkeep of the nursing home.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures at all times.
• Report any maintenance concerns or issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Make minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers, change filters on HVAC equipment, carries, lifts and stocks supplies.

Maintenance Technician Qualifications: 

• Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good time management and organizational abilities
• Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach
• Physical stamina and the ability to go up and down stairs, lift and move heavy objects
• Flexibility to work different shifts as needed
