Maintenance Technician - Lake Orion, Michigan
Contract to Hire role
Day Shift - 7:0am to 4:00pm Monday-Friday (Saturday occasional if needed)
Pay Rate: approximately $32.00-$34.00 hour (based work history)
Job Summary of the Maintenance Technician: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for leading and assisting with all maintenance activities while supporting manufacturing, assembly, and facility operations to meet customer requirements.
Set up, maintain, and operate the machine shop equipment
Maintain the maintenance shop
Support the production operators
Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Adhere to federal and state regulations
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and processes
Performs other duties as requested, directed, and/or assigned
Predictable and reliable attendance
Position Qualifications of the Maintenance Technician:
Maintenance Technician certificate or equivalent experience required
Minimum three (3) years of maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of facility-related aspects (e.g. HVAC, air compressor, pumps, chillers)
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Ability to work side by side with service providers as required to maintain equipment and facility
Ability to follow directions as assigned
Ability to effectively communicate technical issues
Knowledge of PLC-based equipment
Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems
Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Systems
Knowledge of quality and environment management systems
Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and CMMS
