Adecco Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Shift Lead to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, supporting a maintenance team, and helping keep production running safely and efficiently.
As a Maintenance Shift Lead, you will help coordinate daily maintenance activities, provide direction to technicians, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
Coordinate maintenance activities based on production needs, safety requirements, and shift priorities.
Perform preventative maintenance, including lubrication, oil changes, filter replacement, cleaning, and general equipment upkeep.
Conduct safety talks at the beginning of each shift.
Maintain shift communication boards and provide updates on projects and maintenance activities.
Create and assign work orders to maintenance technicians.
Verify housekeeping and 6S standards throughout the facility.
Communicate regularly with production leadership and maintenance supervisors.
Redirect maintenance resources and labor as needed throughout the shift.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and production machinery.
Assist with tooling functions and prepare tooling documentation for the shift.
Maintain an organized parts inventory.
Communicate project and equipment status to leadership.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, safety, and overall efficiency.
Perform other related maintenance duties as assigned.
High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 1 year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to read and understand safety rules, maintenance instructions, operating procedures, and technical documentation.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced production environment.
Basic mathematical skills, including working with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions.
Basic welding experience or willingness to learn.
Ability and willingness to travel between facilities or obtain parts when necessary.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to push or pull heavy objects weighing up to 250 pounds.
Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to routinely stand, sit, walk, hear, and communicate.
Ability to reach, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and balance, including working in tight or awkward spaces.
Good close vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
Ability to safely operate or become certified to operate powered industrial equipment as required.
