Our Richmond, VA facility is seeking experienced professionals to support critical plant operations through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations at our Richmond, VA facility.
This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of industrial equipment, machinery, and building systems to minimize downtime and ensure production goals are met.
The Maintenance Technician works closely with operations, engineering, and safety teams to identify equipment issues, implement solutions, and support continuous improvement initiatives while following all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school preferred.
Electrical certification preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Ability to diagnose and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and understand technical documentation, including blueprints, equipment drawings, manuals, and training materials.
Proven ability to use basic and industry-specific tools; prior experience using shop equipment such as welders, mills, and lathes is preferred but not required.
Prior experience safely diagnosing electrical and control systems is preferred but not required; systems may include relays, timers, three-phase motors, and AC drives.
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills required.
Experience reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and OEM technical documentation.
Prior use of SAP or similar computerized maintenance systems preferred.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and flexibility for weekend or emergency overtime coverage.
Candidates will be required to complete a written skills assessment as part of the interview process.
