Allen Organ Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician helps keep our facilities, equipment, and operations running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in quality workmanship, preventative maintenance, and responding quickly to repair needs. This position is onsite at our location in Macungie, PA. The hours are based on production which are 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform day to day maintenance tasks/repairs to include but not limited to boiler, air conditioning, heating units, plant machine repairs, plumbing, sprinkler system, air lines, electrical, forklifts, generators, and compactor.
- Work on the security team for building security, door security, and emergency evacuations.
- Perform computer and phone installations that involve installing wiring and cables and assisting the IT department as needed with these setups.
- Move office equipment or things in an office that need to be relocated, as needed.
- Collect garbage in the plant if Custodians are unable to perform this task. Collect the recycling from the different areas in the plant.
- Set up meeting areas as requested/needed to include set up of tables, chairs, presentation materials or equipment (i.e projector, roll up screen).
- Perform tests on different equipment as required, including lights and emergency lighting.
- Operate forklift to load and unload materials/pallets to different departments.
- Assist with the set up/clean-up of company events.
- Perform and/or assist with monthly inspection and/or updates on equipment including but not limited to fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, etc.
- Participate in the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) process when performing maintenance on machines.
- Participate in the Bloodborne Pathogens process for blood cleanup.
- Assist with renovations as needed that may including painting.
- Complete all required safety training.
- Must follow all safety rules and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the plant.

· Problem solving skills.
· Ability to work in a team environment but also independently on assigned tasks.
· Ability to effectively interact with outside contractors.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· 2-5 years’ experience required.
· Ability to lift 75lbs is required.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Must be able to work around dust and odor and hot and cold temperatures at times.
· Must be able to work overtime if needed and be flexible with schedule for emergencies and/or plant needs.
· Must be able to work over the company shutdown periods where maintenance work is required.
· Must be able to climb ladders, go up on a roof, crawl, and walk upstairs.
