We have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Technician in Martinsburg, WV with a local manufacturing company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school education is a plus.
- Previous Maintenance Technician experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and recordkeeping.
- Must be detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to safely lift heavy equipment and perform physically demanding work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on plant equipment and facility systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues to minimize equipment downtime.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and maintenance requests.
- Assist with installing, setting up, and commissioning new equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot production equipment and work with team members to resolve complex maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment installations.
- Follow all company safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Communicate equipment status, repair progress, and maintenance needs with supervisors and production teams.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient manufacturing environment.
- WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Manufacturing facility with exposure to machinery, moving equipment, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Required to wear all company-issued PPE.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in tight spaces throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Overtime may be required based on production and maintenance needs.
Hours:
- 2-2-3 Schedule
- 12-hour shifts Days or Nights
Pay Rate:
- $34.00 +$1.00 shift differential
