Responsibilities:

• Review the maintenance log at the start of the day and follow up on any pending issues to ensure all hotel systems are fully operational.

• Carry out routine repairs and preventive maintenance across key hotel systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from different departments, including guest rooms, common areas, housekeeping, and front desk.

• Identify and resolve maintenance issues efficiently, always with a sense of urgency and a strong focus on the guest experience.

• Ensure guest rooms and public areas are maintained in excellent condition, contributing to guest comfort and satisfaction.

• Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and other hotel teams to coordinate maintenance activities without disrupting daily operations.

• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment to identify areas requiring attention or improvement.

• Support longer-term hotel projects, such as room renovations, system upgrades, and sustainability-focused improvements.

• Keep accurate and updated records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and completed tasks.

• Identify potential safety hazards and address them promptly, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

• Be available to respond to urgent maintenance issues outside regular working hours when required.

• Requirements:

  • Proven experience in hotel maintenance or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including being on call for emergencies.
  • Solid understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Certification in maintenance-related fields is a plus.

  Schedule: This position requires fully availability during mornings and afternoons, shift of 8 hours could be arranged between 6:00 am to 12:00 am, weekends required.

  Work Location: Miami South Beach, FL.

  Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of being stand and lifting 15 pounds or more

  Work Authorization: Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

  FSLA Classification: Non-exempt
