Maintenance Technician

General Purpose

• Perform regular preventive maintenance on all Production Equipment.
• On – call support for all emergency repairs essential for continued production.
• Adhere to safety procedures for all plant activities relating to operation of production equipment.
• Perform other assignments as required and determined by the needs of the business.

Essential functions

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment and facility issues.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure equipment longevity and safety.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed.
• Test and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment or systems. (Involving circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, servo and variable frequency drives, etc.)
• Perform basic administrative tasks including documentation of work performed by written/electronic methods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize tasks/projects based on business needs.
• Meet safety, environmental, quality and housekeeping standards.
• All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Technical certificate, or 2 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial mechanical equipment.
• Proficient use of hand tools.
• Critical thinking and attention to detail.
• Industrial 3 phase electrical AC/DC
• Basic plumbing
• Machining and power tools
• Excellent organizational skills
• High attention to detail
• Parts ordering and replenishment

Key Competencies

• Possesses the following skills: problem solver, excellent written/verbal skills, team-oriented, responsible.
• Must understand numbers and be able to read technical drawings, blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
• Able to climb stairs and endure higher temperatures up to 90F for limited periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.

Storopack is a family owned, privately held international company with 18 manufacturing locations throughout North America – Corporate headquarters resides in Cincinnati, OH. Storopack specializes in protective packaging for “in-the-box” product applications. Storopack produces flexible packaging materials such as; Air Cushions, Paper Padding, Foam-in-Place, Loose Fill, Bubble, Mailers, Pre-Molded Foam Cushions and the packaging systems producing these materials on-demand at the customer facility. We work directly with the client and sell our products through distribution.
