The Maintenance Technician at EIG Services LLC is responsible for keeping our residential homes operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. A Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform various repair tasks for Several sites and work with the Fleet Manager on general vehicle maintenance. - Oversee and manage the maintenance of company vehicles
- Work with contractors to ensure the timely completion of projects
- Troubleshooting and making routine repairs in the following areas: painting, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Asses and propose when to contact external contractors for repairs.
- Landscaping and Snow Removal
- Resolve and Complete work orders on time.
- Must have your essential tools
- Must be able to use a smartphone, email, text, and complete electronic work orders
- Other building maintenance items as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2-year experience in a similar position required
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Valid Driver's License and personal vehicle for company business.
- Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems and determine when a contractor is needed.
- Basic electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity
- Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
- Groundskeeping for location that contains lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance
- Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents in a pleasant manner
- Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
- Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building
