    Position Summary

    Natural Retreats is seeking a dedicated and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Whitefish, MT. In this essential role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the quality and functionality of our luxury vacation properties, ensuring that every guest and homeowner enjoys a seamless experience. Your day-to-day work will involve troubleshooting and repairing core home systems, performing preventative maintenance, and responding promptly to service requests. This position is perfect for someone who takes pride in doing things right the first time, values consistency and stability, and thrives on creating safe, comfortable environments for others.     Key Responsibilities & Essential Duties

    • Perform diversified duties to troubleshoot and/or maintain core home systems (i.e. HVAC, audio/visual, pool / hot tub service, lock installation, septic systems, plumbing, electric, radiant heating systems, mechanics and/or appliances, etc.) in addition to the following:

      • Basic repairs to interiors and exteriors of homes (i.e. paint, repair dry wall, basic construction, etc.)

      • Move equipment, appliances, furniture, etc.

      • Remove items from home for disposal

      • Maintain lawn, walkways, driveways, etc.

      • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test, and make adjustments

      • Pick up trash

      • Perform regular preventative maintenance in homes

      • Perform a variety of plumbing, maintenance, and carpentry functions

    • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs to homes as well as regular preventive maintenance and scheduled maintenance repairs

    • Perform general maintenance arrival audits prior to owner or guest arrivals and departure audits upon owner or guest departure

    • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service

    • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments

    • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties

    • Track and maintain assigned tool inventory

    • Maintain detailed records of service performed in all units, according to the daily timesheet

    • Record billable items and hours to be billed to guests and/or owners for work orders

    • Communicate the completion and progress of assigned work orders

    • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas to include work vehicle

    • Participate in snow and ice removal as needed

    • Provide coverage of the emergency on-call phone

    Required Qualifications

    • Valid driver's license, 3+ years of driving experience and good driving record

    • Ability to pass pre-employment testing which may include drug testing and/or background screening

    • Previous experience in a similar role

    • Basic knowledge of audio/visual, electrical, plumbing, mechanics, and appliance repair

    • Proficiency in technology, such as cell phones and basic computer skills with the ability to learn new software

    • Ability to lift 75 lbs. and be active up to 85% of the work day

    • Basic organizational skills to effectively record and catalogue documents on work performed

    • Ability to exercise good judgement

    • Proactive and flexible in approach to job duties and problem-solving

    • Available to manage multiple tasks/projects at once

    • Strong customer focus

    • Keen attention to detail

    Preferred Qualifications

    • HVAC Certification 

    • Experience in the hospitality industry
