Industrial Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing | Nekoosa, WI

At Nekoosa, our manufacturing operations typically run Monday–Friday, which means weekends are generally reserved for maintenance activities, projects, and occasional on-call facility support. During major maintenance projects or shutdowns, overtime opportunities may be available.

Night shift maintenance position, 10 pm - 6 am M-F.

Your Impact

As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in keeping our production equipment safe, reliable, and efficient.

You'll help us:

  • Drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement with a goal of zero incidents
  • Improve equipment reliability and preventive maintenance performance
  • Reduce downtime through fast, effective troubleshooting and repairs
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and 5S practices
  • Support maintenance projects and continuous improvement initiatives

What You'll Be Doing

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated production equipment using electro-mechanical skills.
  • Diagnose and repair PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), pumps, motors, sensors, and power distribution systems.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Read electrical schematics, manuals, and technical drawings to identify and resolve issues.
  • Document maintenance work accurately in the CMMS system.
  • Support shutdowns, maintenance projects, and reliability improvements.

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Maintenance certification, technical coursework, or equivalent training.
  • Knowledge of electronic control systems, PLCs, motors, drives, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
