Hours: 6:45PM to 7AM on a rotating 2/2/3 schedule.

Pay Range: $23.00-$34.00 depending on level of experience!

Equipment Troubleshooting & Repair (Primary Responsibility)

  • Independently diagnose and repair equipment issues with a focus on minimizing downtime.

  • Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures on complex industrial equipment.

  • Utilize VFDs, motor control systems, HMIs, and PLC logic (Allen-Bradley preferred) for troubleshooting purposes.

Production Line Support

  • Maintain and improve production line performance through rapid response to equipment failures.

  • Reduce mean time to repair (MTTR) and prevent repeat failures through strong root-cause analysis.

Work Orders & Prioritization

  • Work autonomously to plan, prioritize, and complete work orders per shift.

  • Maintain an 85%+ on-time completion rate for assigned work orders.

Preventative & Predictive Maintenance

  • Own scheduled PM tasks, ensuring completion and accuracy.

  • Identify risks before breakdowns occur and recommend improvements to prevent recurring issues.

  • Support reliability efforts, contributing to reduced unplanned downtime.

6S, TPM & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead by example on 6S expectations and uptime improvement initiatives.

  • Contribute to TPM activities and equipment health checks.

  • Support improvement projects that increase throughput, speed, or reliability.

Line Commissioning & Start-Up

  • Commission equipment after maintenance, ensuring smooth and accurate startup with minimal adjustments required.

Team Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with operators, supervisors, and fellow maintenance techs.

  • Share knowledge with team members and help elevate best practices across shifts.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

Experience & Autonomy

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (required).

  • Must be able to work independently with limited direction.

  • Strong history of troubleshooting industrial equipment in fast-paced environments.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with:

  • Electrical & electronic systems

  • Motor controllers, VFDs, relays, sensors

  • Mechanical systems

  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.

  • Experience navigating PLC ladder logic for troubleshooting (programming not required, but troubleshooting is).

  • Welding experience (stick or wire) is a plus.

Problem-Solving & Analytical Ability

  • Strong root-cause analysis skills.

  • Capable of diagnosing complex problems without escalation.

  • Solid mathematical aptitude applied to maintenance and troubleshooting.

Work Style

  • Self-directed, motivated, and reliable.

  • Comfortable in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

  • Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and safety.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs+ and maneuver large, heavy equipment.

  • Must be able to stand for long periods and work in varying temperature environments.

  • Ability to wear PPE at all times.

  • Must pass a Physical Abilities Test.

Education & Certifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Technical training, two-year maintenance certification, or trade school background is preferred.

  • Forklift experience required (must complete Return Polymers forklift certification).

  • Welding certifications are a plus.
