Westaff Hiring Entry-Level Maintenance Technician in North Haven, CT!
Shift: 1st and 2nd available!
Pay: $28/hr
- 1st Shift: 6:00am – 4:00pm, Monday–Thursday
- 2nd Shift: 4:00pm – 12:00am
- Friday OT may be required
Corrugated Materials Manufacturer actively seeking an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join their manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical or electrical aptitude who is looking to grow into a long-term maintenance career. Candidates with automotive, electrical, or PLC exposure are strongly encouraged to apply. Recent graduates are welcome!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairing production and packaging machinery
- Support maintenance team with electrical, mechanical, and PLC-related tasks
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and equipment checks
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Follow plant safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Qualifications:
- Mechanical or electrical experience (automotive background is a strong match)
- Basic understanding of PLCs is a plus
- Ability to use personal tools (having your own tools is preferred)
- Open to candidates right out of school!
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
