JOB DESCRIPTION

Maintenance Technician- (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $27.00/hr on W2
Duration: 3+ Months
Location: 295 Indian River Road, Orange, CT 06477
Schedule: Monday Friday | 7:00 AM 3:30 PM

Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician responsible for execution and upkeep of preventative and reactive maintenance programs, equipment repair and overhaul, troubleshooting, installation of new equipment, and maintenance of production machinery within an industrial manufacturing environment. This role requires hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, along with strong troubleshooting and maintenance capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Trade school graduate preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of machine repair/maintenance or related technical experience
  • Strong understanding of PLCs, troubleshooting, and program maintenance
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English work instructions
  • Good math and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read mechanical prints, electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
  • Proficient with computers and maintenance-related software/programs
  • Multi-lingual skills are a plus

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on production equipment per SOPs
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul industrial pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Repair and maintain hydraulic presses, welding machines, roll forming equipment, and related production machinery
  • Diagnose equipment issues down to the component/piece-part level and perform corrective repairs efficiently
  • Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics and parts diagrams
  • Install and validate new equipment while coordinating with outside vendors and suppliers
  • Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
  • Collaborate with facilities leadership, manufacturing engineers, and production personnel to resolve equipment and production issues
  • Perform light industrial fabrication and part fabrication as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all safety procedures including Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO)
  • Support sustainability initiatives, energy conservation projects, and facility maintenance activities
  • Assist with buildings and grounds maintenance duties as assigned
  • Provide guidance and/or training to Maintenance Technicians and Production Operators when required

Preferred Skills:
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing or production environments
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple maintenance priorities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance practices
