Maintenance Mechanic (Welding & Pump Repair Focus)

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support the repair, maintenance, and reliability of production equipment and facility systems. This role is responsible for troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing welding repairs, and maintaining pumps and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
• Perform welding and metal fabrication to repair broken equipment, rebuild components, and fabricate replacement parts as needed.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild industrial pumps including centrifugal, PD, and related pumping systems.
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble machinery and mechanical components.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or performance issues and make necessary repairs.
• Operate testing equipment and tools to verify proper equipment function after repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and parts used.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements while performing maintenance tasks.
• Work closely with operations and production teams to minimize downtime and keep equipment running efficiently.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Strong welding and fabrication experience (structural, pipe, and sanitary welding preferred).
• Hands-on experience with pump repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of industrial machinery, motors, conveyors, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and equipment diagrams.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills are a plus.
• Forklift experience or certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or maintenance/mechanical trade experience preferred.
• At least 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent hands-on training.

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing environment and requires standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working around industrial equipment in hot, cold, and loud conditions.
