Job description: This position performs a wide variety of janitorial and maintenance duties as a part of a property management team. Duties include preventative, emergency, cosmetic, and routine maintenance of apartment units and regular inspections as well as janitorial duties such as trash pickup, groundskeeping, office cleaning, etc.<\/span>

Detailed job description:<\/span>
<\/div>
-Performs overall upkeep of the grounds. Including but not limited to remove trash from the grounds, gather and empty trash and recycling bins, cleaning sidewalks, parking lots, and carports. Maintaining all areas are clean (i.e. by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming).<\/span>
<\/div>
-Perform electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, masonry, plastering, painting tasks, and janitorial duties as assigned.<\/span>
<\/div>
-Performs timely apartment unit turn -overs as directed by the Property Manager.<\/span>
<\/div>
-Performs routine work orders as necessary. Prepares work orders for safety hazards and deficiencies to specify on the work order.<\/span>
<\/div>
-Participate in off -shift and weekend emergency maintenance coverage as scheduled.<\/span>
<\/div>
-Report physical condition needs of common areas such as the grounds, building exteriors and takes corrective action.<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>
-High school diploma or GED certificate.<\/span>
<\/div>
-Must possess a valid California driver’s license & must possess reliable, insured, and registered vehicle<\/span>
<\/div>
-Basic mathematical skills with fluency in reading, writing, and communication in English.<\/span>
<\/div>
-Ability to perform maintenance and repair building trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC system, appliance repair, painting, drywall, plaster, fire protection system, etc.<\/span>
<\/div>
-Ability to recognize safety hazards and take precautionary measures to protect self and others.<\/span>
<\/div><\/span>

Benefits<\/h3>
This position is contract to hire. Benefits are not offered during the contract period, but are granted upon successful conversion to full time once the contract period ends.<\/span>
