Overview
The Maintenance Technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance on oil and gas production facilities and equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This position partners with Operations, Engineering, I&E, and contractors to troubleshoot mechanical issues, coordinate maintenance activities, and support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and repairs production facilities and infrastructure.
- Coordinates with Operations, Engineering, I&E;, EH&S;, and contractors.
- Performs site inspections and identifies improvement opportunities.
- Helps reduce operating costs and improve production reliability.
- Directs and oversees third-party contractors.
- Develops basic bills of materials for maintenance work.
- Maintains required documentation and records.
- Ensures safe, environmentally compliant work practices.
- Supports regulatory compliance with EH&S; and Air Quality.
- Uses Microsoft Office and maintenance software.
Qualifications
- Requires 2-5 years of relevant oilfield/construction experience
- Strong troubleshooting and maintenance background within upstream production operations
- Experience working safely in operating facilities, including H2S environments when applicable
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver''s license with a clean driving record
- Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
