Job Title: Maintenance Technician II

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician II supports the operations maintenance team by repairing, maintaining, and installing material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated packaging and distribution equipment throughout the facility. This role ensures equipment runs safely and efficiently to support continuous operations.


Responsibilities


+ Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot material handling equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.

+ Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment across the building.

+ Inspect pneumatic systems, identify issues, and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.

+ Perform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical and automated systems to minimize downtime.

+ Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner and carry out corrective actions.

+ Use appropriate tools and diagnostic methods to identify mechanical and pneumatic failures.

+ Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately and promptly.

+ Collaborate with the operations maintenance team to prioritize work orders and support production needs.

+ Follow safety procedures and guidelines while working on equipment and systems.

+ Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and installations as needed.


Essential Skills


+ Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance in a production or distribution environment.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to repair and maintain material handling equipment.

+ Ability to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.

+ Working knowledge of pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.

+ Ability to perform preventive maintenance and basic diagnostics on mechanical and automated systems.

+ Capability to read and follow maintenance instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines.

+ Effective teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with the operations maintenance team.


Additional Skills & Qualifications


+ Experience in an industrial or warehouse setting maintaining automated equipment.

+ Familiarity with basic documentation of maintenance work and parts usage.

+ Comfort working with a variety of tools and equipment used in industrial maintenance.

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to equipment safety and reliability.

Work Environment

Dress is practical and suitable for industrial maintenance work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pooler, GA.


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr.
