Operation of machinery or equipment required to perform the specified maintenance or repair in a safe and effective manner. Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems using precision measuring and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools examining form and texture of parts. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques monitoring compliance. Implement and inspect equipment maintenance according to maintenance schedule. Conducts machine set up, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance service.
Expert performance of tasks involved in the upkeep of the building and grounds, installation, maintenance, maintaining, and repairing of hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical, and electrical systems on all production machines, equipment, and building. Ensure work area and equipment are maintained organized and clean to MAPAL standards. Exceed and exhibit all Mapal Inc. behaviors as defined by policy, procedure, and standards. Ensure written flow charts, work instructions, and/or standards for each position responsibility is consistent and accurate. Update, refine, and adjust as needed or required.
Actively participates in all cross-functional team projects and assignments as directed by Manufacturing Director. Tasks as assigned to qualification standard.
YOUR PROFILE
Experienced Maintenance Technician with focus specific to electrical instrumentation, PLC, with demonstrated experience with hydraulic and pneumatic. A self-starter with a specific skill set in a hands-on work environment of installation and maintenance of equipment and machinery. Demonstrated ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and perform required work to use all equipment needed to trouble shoot problems with machines, dis-assemble, and assemble machines correctly and accurately according to manufacturer guidelines. To understand and effectively execute information, verbal instructions, and written procedures. Detail-oriented and skilled in understanding the troubleshooting process, workflow. Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision. Positive Can do attitude and approach.
