    Job Description:

    Elevare Behavioral Health is seeking a dependable and skilled PRN Maintenance Technician to support the safety, functionality, and regulatory readiness of our behavioral health facilities. This position provides maintenance support on an as-needed basis across detoxification, residential, and outpatient settings.

    The PRN Maintenance Technician performs repairs, preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and facility support while helping maintain compliance with The Joint Commission Environment of Care standards, life safety requirements, state regulations, and organizational policies.

    As a PRN team member, scheduled hours will vary based on facility needs, maintenance projects, staff coverage, emergencies, and operational demands. This position does not guarantee a set number of hours each week and requires flexibility to support occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency maintenance needs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, equipment, and facility systems.
    • Complete assigned work orders promptly and maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
    • Repair and maintain doors, locks, windows, flooring, drywall, fixtures, furniture, patient rooms, and other facility areas.
    • Conduct safety rounds and environmental inspections and promptly address identified hazards, safety concerns, and ligature risks.
    • Support compliance with The Joint Commission Environment of Care, fire safety, life safety, infection control, and state licensing requirements.
    • Inspect facility safety equipment and support emergency preparedness activities, fire drills, emergency signage, and clear egress pathways.
    • Maintain tools, maintenance equipment, supplies, Safety Data Sheets, and appropriate storage of chemicals and hazardous materials.
    • Assist with special projects, unexpected maintenance needs, emergency repairs, vendor coordination, and coverage when additional maintenance support is needed.

    Requirements/Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience. Healthcare, behavioral health, residential, or similar facility experience preferred.
    • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, general construction, and building maintenance.
    • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
    • Strong troubleshooting, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Experience with work order and preventive maintenance systems preferred.
    • EPA HVAC certification, OSHA 10 or 30, Certified Healthcare Facility Technician certification, or similar credentials preferred.
