Maintenance Technician - Omaha, NE

Are you a skilled technician with strong mechanical and electrical abilities? We're seeking a Maintenance Technician to support maintenance and repair activities for industrial equipment and facility systems. This hands-on role ensures safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.

What You'll Do
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial manufacturing equipment, including HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Diagnose and repair machinery such as CNC equipment, PLC-controlled systems, and VFDs.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machines, facility infrastructure, power distribution, lighting, compressed air systems, and material handling equipment.
  • Use electrical and mechanical schematics to safely dismantle, repair, and rebuild equipment.
  • Calibrate and realign equipment to meet manufacturer specifications after repairs or inspections.
  • Operate and maintain fabrication and machine shop tools (lathes, mills, grinders, welders, torches).
  • Follow LOTO, OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records through a CMMS.
  • Coordinate with contractors and support special projects across multiple sites.
  • Assist with facility upkeep, grounds maintenance, and seasonal tasks such as snow removal.
  • Provide training on equipment operation, safety procedures, and maintenance processes.
  • Work flexible hours, including overtime and occasional weekends or call-ins.


What We're Looking For
  • Strong mechanical and electrical background, including low-voltage, single-phase, and three-phase AC/DC systems (110-480V).
  • Experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and use of measurement tools and test equipment.
  • Knowledge of CNC systems, PLCs, VFDs, automated equipment, and robotics (preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication/welding equipment.
  • Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, lifts, and other material-handling equipment (training provided).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • High attention to safety, detail, and adherence to regulatory requirements.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
  • Ability to obtain EPA 608 certification for HVAC refrigerant handling.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with CMMS systems.
  • Willingness to travel between local sites for projects and support.


Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Frequent standing, handling tools, bending, climbing, and lifting heavy items.
  • Ability to see color, focus at various distances, and hear equipment alarms and verbal instructions.
  • Work around moving mechanical parts, fumes, vibration, and varying temperatures.
