Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Journeyman House Painter to join our painting team. The ideal candidate has strong residential painting skills, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work independently while maintaining a professional attitude on every job.

Responsibilities

• Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting, including scraping, sanding, caulking, patching, and priming.

• Apply paint, stain, sealers, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.

• Accurately match colors and maintain consistent finishes.

• Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, landscaping, and other surfaces from paint and damage.

• Perform detailed trim, door, cabinet, wall, and exterior painting.

• Identify and communicate surface conditions that may require additional preparation or repair.

• Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout each project.

• Safely operate painting equipment, ladders, and related tools.

• Follow company safety procedures and manufacturer instructions for paints and coatings.

• Communicate professionally with homeowners, customers, and other members of the crew.

• Complete projects efficiently while meeting company quality standards and deadlines.

• Maintain painting tools, equipment, and company vehicles as required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman 2+ years level residential painting experience.

• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, primers, paints, stains, and finishing techniques.

• Ability to produce clean lines, smooth finishes, and high-quality detail work.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and customer-service skills.

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred.

• Ability to safely lift equipment and materials and work from ladders and elevated surfaces.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

• Ability to follow instructions and maintain a professional appearance and attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods.

• Lift and carry paint, tools, ladders, and other materials.

• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Safely work on ladders and other elevated surfaces.
