POSITION DETAILS
Install, program, troubleshoot, and repair robots and related equipment by applying knowledge and using tools and resources.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / COMPETENCIES
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of customer-specific requirements
- PLC and robotic programming knowledge and ability
- Must have knowledge of the English language
- Maintain excellent attendance (must be at work on time and consistently)
- Ability to read and follow work instructions
- Ability to apply understanding of simple written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables in different situations
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review work orders, manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams to determine tasks, tools, equipment, and parts needed for installation or repair
- Inspect installation sites to verify electrical supply wires, conduit, switches, and circuit breakers are installed according to specifications
- Position and secure robots and related equipment to floor using crane, hand, and power tools with assistance from maintenance staff and according to manuals and blueprints
- Attach electrical wires to robot controller, programmable controller, and hydraulic power unit
- Connect hoses between hydraulic systems and components
