Key Qualifications
Experience & Education
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Technical degree or diploma in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or equivalent on-the-job mechanical experience.
• Previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or production facility is highly preferred.
• Execute scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) plans and respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns on the production floor.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues on core bakery machinery, including conveyors, mixers, slicers, ovens, and packaging lines.
• Perform system overhauls by rebuilding vital components such as pumps, gearboxes, and pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders.
A Mechanical Technician in food manufacturing keeps plant equipment running safely and efficiently to minimize costly downtime. This role is responsible for ensuring all repairs and maintenance meet strict food safety, workplace safety, and hygiene regulations.
