Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow preventative maintenance schedules and complete assigned work orders on time.
• Support compliance efforts by maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation required for state, federal, and GFSI audits.
• Stay up to date on all relevant safety protocols and regulations, and ensure compliance at all times.
• Read and interpret technical schematics, manuals, and blueprints as needed for equipment troubleshooting and repair.
• Maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of machinery, including Hysense baggers, optical sorters, box erectors, welders, conveyors, ISHIDA scales, Bosch baggers, and forklifts, as well as any new equipment brought into the facility.
• Perform welding tasks and fabrication work when required for machinery repair.
• Provide hands-on technical support to ensure equipment runs efficiently and downtime is minimized.
• Follow all established maintenance policies and safety procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to use, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC systems, VFDs, and Servo drives.
• Help create and maintain the inventory of parts and tools.
• Show a willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and training as operations evolve.
• While not in a supervisory role, assist with training and support of other maintenance team members as needed.
• Perform inspections and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems and carry out additional duties as necessary to support smooth operations across all facilities.
• Travel to seasonal locations for each season during the year
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Strong Understanding of ISHIDA scales
• Experience working in refrigeration in a similar setting
• Experience working with 480V, 3 phase
• Bilingual (English & Spanish); Read and Write
• Strong understanding of vacuum tubes
• Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Minimum of 5 years in similar role

Physical Requirements:

• Travel to Seasonal locations as required
• Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
