Work Environment

You will primarily support production equipment in a cleanroom environment that includes PSS (Power Seat Switch), ECU (Electrical Component Unit), and SMT (Surface Mount Technology) departments. The production area is meticulously clean, organized, climate controlled, and well lit, with a look and feel similar to a hospital—sterile, sanitary, and highly organized. The maintenance department is fully equipped to support a wide range of production machinery, including high-speed automated assembly lines, contact welding and press machines, robotic coil winders, axial and radial inserters, wave soldering machines, and SMT equipment. The standard schedule for this position is 2nd shift, approximately 1:30 PM–9:45 PM, with 8-hour minimum days and frequent opportunities for overtime and weekend rotations to complete daily assignments and support high project volumes. During each shift, you receive a 30-minute unpaid lunch and two 15-minute paid breaks. Work involves frequent use of hands for handling parts and tools, as well as regular standing, walking, and reaching, with occasional lifting and moving of items up to 50 pounds. In the cleanroom production areas (PSS, ECU, SMT), you must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), which include wearing a gown, hairnet, and shoe covers for each shift, along with long sleeves and appropriate pants. No jewelry is allowed in production, including rings, necklaces, and body piercings. Steel-toe shoes are not required in these production departments. Warehouse areas such as Shipping, Receiving, and Material Management do not require GMP attire; however, employees in these departments must wear steel-toe shoes. Both production and warehouse spaces are clean, organized, and climate controlled, providing a comfortable and professional work setting focused on safety, quality, and efficiency.
