Maintenance Technician – PLC/Industrial Maintenance

Pay: $38.50
Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Type: Direct Hire

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated production equipment to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. Technicians will work with PLCs, electrical systems, mechanical equipment, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation controls.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment and production lines
• Diagnose PLC-controlled systems and automation issues
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
• Repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Requirements

• Experience as a Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or Maintenance Mechanic
• Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley preferred)
• Experience with electrical systems, motors, sensors, VFDs, and controls
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
• Experience in manufacturing, food production, packaging, or automated environments preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating schedule

Preferred Qualifications

• PLC programming experience
• Industrial electrical certification or related technical training
• Experience in high-speed automated manufacturing environments
