Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8am - 3pm and Friday 8am - 1pm, must be flexible as hours will vary based on the church needs

Summary:
The Maintenance Technician fulfills the mission of the parish by assisting in maintaining and upkeep of the parish buildings and grounds, and ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for parishioners, staff and visitors. This role will provide general maintenance and basic repairs for all parish buildings and property. Also, this role often involves both routine maintenance and special tasks related to parish events, services, and activities.

Competencies
Minimum Qualifications to include Knowledge and Skills:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
Working knowledge of how to safely operate cleaning equipment, gardening/landscaping tools, electrical tools for repairing items, and other applicable gadgets
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Ability to communicate with various levels of staff
Ability to safety work with ladders, equipment and chemicals
Ability to work in heights and close quarters
Good eye-hand coordination and flexibility
Must be able to work flexible hours to include assisting with gatherings and events on evenings and weekends
Complete a safe environment course and pass criminal background check
Ability to resolve and reduce conflict
Bilingual (English/Spanish) (preferred)
License and Credentials
Reliable transportation
Valid driver license
Valid vehicle insurance
Physical Requirements:
The position requires the following physical demands in the frequency noted.
C = Constantly (2/3 or more of the time) O = Occasionally (Up to 1/3 of the time)
F = Frequently (From 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) R = Rarely (less than on hour per week)
