Maintenance Technician

Challenger School is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to join our team at our Berryessa/California Regional Office. As a maintenance technician at Challenger, you will be tasked with keeping our campuses safe, functional, and well-maintained. The standard work week is Monday through Friday, 6:00 am - 3:00 pm with occasional overtime opportunities. On a day-to-day basis, you will be inspecting facilities, performing routine maintenance tasks, responding to urgent repair requests, and coordinating larger maintenance projects.Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair work on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systemsComply with OSHA standards, government licensing, safety, and operational requirementsMaintain interior and exterior functionality and safety of the school buildingKeep school grounds clear and functional through all seasonsOccasionally travel to other San Jose campuses to assist with maintenance tasks- 30 mile radiusWork patiently with coworkers and campus staff

Qualifications

Reliable personal vehicle (mileage paid)General knowledge/experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, and carpentry.Ability to pass background check
