We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring that our production machinery and systems operate at peak performance levels. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, machinery maintenance, and repairing tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your technical skills and make a significant impact on our operations.

Responsibilities:

1. Carry out routine and preventive maintenance on all manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
2. Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
3. Utilize a variety of power and hand tools to perform maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, drills, grinders, and wrenches.
4. Collaborate with the production team to understand and rectify machinery issues promptly.
5. Monitor and maintain machinery performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
6. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance tasks to ensure a safe working environment.
7. Train other team members on preventive maintenance practices and safe use of tools and equipment.
8. Keep abreast of the latest developments in machinery maintenance and apply this knowledge to improve our maintenance procedures.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the manufacturing industry or a similar role.
2. Proficiency in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and machinery maintenance.
3. Hands-on experience with repairing tasks using power and hand tools.
4. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand complex machinery and systems.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues promptly and efficiently.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels.
7. A commitment to adhering to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
8. A proactive approach to work with the ability to anticipate and prevent potential machinery issues.
9. A technical degree or certification in a related field would be advantageous.
