Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing equipment and facilities, maintaining and improving
tooling dies, jigs, fixtures, and press tool fittings to align with production needs, preventive maintenance
schedules, and customer requirements, ensuring the achievement of business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will maintain production and facility equipment to include installation, set up, preventative
maintenance and adjustments required by technical service instructions.
Safely troubleshoots, repairs, and executes all preventive maintenance tasks.
Perform maintenance related activities, including, but not limited to the following:
o Machine Maintenance (Molding and Auxiliary)
o Communication with plant scheduling to determine timing for outsourced preventative
maintenance, repairs and improvements. This communication may apply to both machines and
tooling.
o Spare parts inventory system based on historical data.
o Order of replacement parts and spare parts.
o Travel to assist, as needed, other plants on the same street.
o Perform diversified duties to install and maintain building and plant facility's equipment.
o Diagnose, repair and/or replace lighting, plumbing and building repair.
o Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of building equipment during production as necessary
and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during normal hours.
o Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and
service.
o Use a variety of hand tools, electric meters and detect faulty operations, defective material and
report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
o Ensure proper maintenance and spare tools are kept for facility.
o Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
o Perform all other assigned duties.
o Use purchasing process to order all needed supplies to finish tasks.
Qualifications:
Prefer 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a plastic injection molding manufacturing environment. Proficient
in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and programmable controller problems.
Experience in operating various hand tools and machining equipment.
Ability to write and read routine reports or process orders using computers and programs like Microsoft Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe PDFs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
