    About the Position

    The Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for directing daily maintenance operations, leading and developing maintenance technicians, and ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency. This role serves as the first point of escalation for troubleshooting, coordinates internal and external maintenance resources, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

    Responsibilities

    What you will do

    Schedule and prioritize daily maintenance activities to support production and facility needs by assigning and training maintenance staff, providing real-time performance feedback, leading preventive and predictive maintenance programs, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, dispatching assistance as needed, monitoring equipment performance to minimize downtime, ensuring OSHA and company safety compliance through audits and best practices, utilizing CMMS software to manage work orders and maintenance history, maintaining accurate documentation and records, managing spare parts inventory and material purchases, overseeing vendor and contractor work, participating in inventory management, and supporting continuous improvement efforts through cross-functional collaboration.

    Qualifications

    Necessary Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in industrial or facility maintenance
    • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
    • Prior leadership or lead technician experience preferred
    • Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance documentation
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond effectively to urgent maintenance issues
    • Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance
    • Minimum of 8 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
    • Prior leadership or lead experience strongly preferred
    • Demonstrated ability to guide, train, and support maintenance team members
    • Trade school or technical certification preferred
    • Formal or informal management/leadership training preferred
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as required in an industrial environment
    • May be required to respond to after-hours, weekends or emergency maintenance situations

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 3 Years of consistent work history
    • 8 years of Manufacturing environment experience
    • Maintenance Vocational Diploma
